“In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.”
― Rumi

hi... this week i made kali and hibiscus..the flower which is belongs to her. with the arrival of goddess durga (kali) the season of festivity starts in my country. in this season i just pray for peace and offer hibiscus to her .

i know i have gone all traditional in my last two posts...but with sight of lil girls dancing in happiness with arrival of goddess during navratri...people keeping fast for nine days...light and happiness everywhere...i cant help it...nd my roots reflect in my art!!! hope u guys like it too

lil bird in me offering the hibiscus :)

  1. Prachee I love your post, and I love your face. My heart smiled to read of joy and seeing you little bird offing the hibiscus just love it. Joy to you hugs Debs xx

  2. Beautiful! I love that you are celebrating your traditions and what brings you joy through your art (that's what it's all about)!

  3. I enjoyed see your lovely exotic art!

  4. Beautiful paintings!

    Hugs Giggles

  5. Wonderful paintings and love your story.

  6. Lovely images, one and all. And, Kali, being a goddess I hold close (but not too close) has a special appeal to me. And the hibiscus offering as well. May the festivities invite peace. Everywhere. For all of us. Peace.

  7. A wonderful depiction of Kali. Happy you are honouring her ... we all need peace. My two favorites and Lord Ganesh and Saraswati. Really lovely work .. all of it. hugs, Donna
