just like that

hi....
somedays its impossible to create....but i try.. :)
i m super busy these days....atleast mentally....but i managed to squeeze in some time and painted the cover of my girl`s daily journal.....yup she does keep one like me :D
painting for her relaxes me...because she is always appreciative of whatever i paint...she does`nt criticize me ..which works for me best ;)
but of late i have realized that this habit of painting something everyday...just a tiny bit...or just sitting nd thinking about painting (no that does`nt work :) )... really does work for me...even when i lose my mojo ;)...

rule no.1 for all budding artists - paint daily

the front flap of my girl`s journal....it had to be a flower with this quote :D

the back page....yup it had to be a bird :)

just trying to show the layers :)

the layers ..... i just love layering

  1. I notice that the flowers closeup looks as if the petals are cut from a paper towel. When I use paper towels and they get beautiful spots of ink or paint on them, I just can't throw them out because they can then be used for projects like this. I once made a cute little blue bird from a blue-stained paper towel. Is that what you have done here?

    1. hi faerie...the flower has been cut up from a textured paper...and before cutting it up...i had dyed the paper with inks...but i guess u can get that effect from paper towel..although the flower wont be so stiff then..:) i hope that helped :)
