go cheap !!!

hi.... early on when i had started painting...and obviously my paintings did'nt turn out too well i`d blame it on the cheap colors / paints...its easy ;). some time later i got the hang of better quality colors / paints...i  had to stop using that escape route :D
so yesterday...i was sitting in my art room...and feeling all lazy...my palette plate was empty..i had to refill it...nd i did'nt want to do even that bit of work...imagine :). so i started playing with my lil girl`s cheap  watercolor  set...and it came out well...for all my laziness...i think so :)   what do you think ;)..do tell me :D

i truly believe that saying :)

cheap watercolors are also good fun....art does'nt need fancy stuff !!!

                                           just like that :)

  1. I absolutely agree with you on this. I always try to use what i have on hand and try to recycle as much material as possible. When you move in this direction you certainly know what you have produced is 100% your own creation. And i think it takes away the fear of "wasting fancy supplies". Art needs experimentation and letting loose, becoming free. Your page turned out so nice.

  6. If you hadn't confessed about the cheapo watercolor paints. i don't think anyone would have known. It's a lovely piece. And yes,I can relate to not even wanting to get up to refill your palette plate.

  7. I love the saying and all those marvelously colorful flowers you painted. Who said we have to use expensive art supplies all the time? Blessings!

  8. Love the colour combinations you used! You're right: one doesn't need all the latest stuff or the expensive paints when it's just for playing and having fun. These watercolours look great!

  9. I too agree, if you use the supplies well you can create with just about anything. This turned out beautifully.
