go cheap !!!

hi.... early on when i had started painting...and obviously my paintings did'nt turn out too well i`d blame it on the cheap colors / paints...its easy ;). some time later i got the hang of better quality colors / paints...i  had to stop using that escape route :D
so yesterday...i was sitting in my art room...and feeling all lazy...my palette plate was empty..i had to refill it...nd i did'nt want to do even that bit of work...imagine :). so i started playing with my lil girl`s cheap  watercolor  set...and it came out well...for all my laziness...i think so :)   what do you think ;)..do tell me :D

i truly believe that saying :)

cheap watercolors are also good fun....art does'nt need fancy stuff !!!

                                           just like that :)

“In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.”

" Once, Parvati asks Shiva to chose the one form among her 10 forms which he likes most. To her surprise, Shiva reveals that he is most comfortable with her Kali form, in which she is bereft of her jewellery, her human-form, her clothes, her emotions and where she is only raw, chaotic energy, where she is as terrible as time itself and even greater than time "

hi...
this week i made Kali. Kali comes from the Sanskrit root word Kal which means time. she is normally depicted as black..the literal meaning of word kali . To me she symbolizes strength ...feminine strength. so hail to woman power...may this world become a safer place for us and our lil girls... may people see us not as commodities or things but recognize our inner strength which is the most important thread that binds the society together. Kali

just like that

hi....
somedays its impossible to create....but i try.. :)
i m super busy these days....atleast mentally....but i managed to squeeze in some time and painted the cover of my girl`s daily journal.....yup she does keep one like me :D
painting for her relaxes me...because she is always appreciative of whatever i paint...she does`nt criticize me ..which works for me best ;)
but of late i have realized that this habit of painting something everyday...just a tiny bit...or just sitting nd thinking about painting (no that does`nt work :) )... really does work for me...even when i lose my mojo ;)...

rule no.1 for all budding artists - paint daily

the front flap of my girl`s journal....it had to be a flower with this quote :D

the back page....yup it had to be a bird :)

just trying to show the layers :)

the layers ..... i just love layering

buddha

“Thus Gotama [Buddha] walked toward the town to gather alms, and the two samanas recognized him solely by the perfection of his repose, by the calmness of his figure, in which there was no trace of seeking, desiring, imitating, or striving, only light and peace”

hi.... this week i got inspired by Buddha..again :). i painted it on a canvas and gave lot of layers to it...the background. Hours happily spent.....hope you guys like it :)
